Charles Beckwith, a mechanical engineer, began Comfort Home in 1968 as a small business working for family and friends to fix their heating problems. By 1970 Beckwith Comfort Home was fully established as a part-time business which kept him busy as the customer list grew. His philosophy was to provide Quality service, be Honest with customers, and show Integrity in all actions.

Ten years later the business continued its growth. Bruce Beckwith joined Dad in learning all aspects of furnace repair, airflow, gas piping, venting, and electrical work. As Dad got older Bruce continued to work part time building a strong customer base.

With the prospect of starting a family, Bruce made the business his full-time job in 1991. As with Dad, the business continues to grow based on the values of Quality, Honesty, and Integrity.
